With FLOW WALL® – you can do far more than just organize your garage. FLOW WALL® is the perfect wall storage solution for workspace and home office environments.

Here is a picture of our office with 114 in of FLOW WALL stacked 4 panels high. We used Maple Panels and Doors to create a complimentary match with IKEA Galant Desks in Beach. This set does not yet attached the desks to the wall, but we are planning to do that. A previous remodel in this room has natural bamboo wanes coating with a bamboo wall trip.

Above the desks we use two wall cabinets, four Décor Shelves in Maple and Two Décor Cubes. I think we are going to add some soft bins to finish the look in this space.

On the back wall behind above the sofa, we put up an 8ft strip with three Décor Cubes. Not sure how to finish, but will probaly use them for decorations and book shelves. In the open space, we hung a cork board using X – Hooks.

For an opposing wall in this workspace, we created a credenza using dual base cabinets and dual wall cabinets with some storage space underneath. To the right, we use DÉCOR shelves to organize binders, books, printer and a scanner. On the opposing side, extended one panel to the wall and used a 4in Flow hook to hand a heavy backpack.

Finally – we created some trim around a paste on dry erase sticker board. This space is used for Pens, Magazine and storage, as well as hanging space for camera and tripod (not shown).

Lots of ideas for FLOW WALL. This is the 4th office I have done with this product and the results were outstanding. If you need additional information please contact me directly – Lenny@flowwall.com

One of the finest ways to completely organize your garage is to begin with a complete garage storage and wall organization system. This will dedicate an entire wall to the organization of your garage and almost feel as if you have a completely new space.

This storage solution is ideal if you have—or would like to have—a workspace or tool bench housed within your garage organization. The workspace is the center of the cabinet system, and all cabinets can be built around it.

Once your workspace is established, begin filling your cabinets with the garage storage you find most problematic. Store all yard tools or long, awkward equipment in the tall cabinet. The smaller, more conventionally sized cabinets are good for the rest of your garage storage, but be sure to group similar items together so you can remember what is where.

The wall panel behind this system allows you to move the cabinets for customized wall storage, and it also becomes a piece of your storage solution itself. Allow a little room on the outside of your cabinet to hang hooks for the garden hose, ladder, or fire extinguisher. Whatever your garage storage needs are, they should be easily solved with the cabinet system.

I had monday off and had most of the day to spend time with the three loves of my life. My wife, daughter, and my dog. I know what you are thinking, this guys wife must read his blog. The answer to that question is false. I am a lucky guy that truly married up. We are an active bunch and even though we got some fresh white stuff over the weekend, that didn’t stop us from hitting the park in full force. However after tossing the ball, swinging, and a good game of you can’t catch me, it was time for the nap. I did what any guy would do, I let my mind wander over to good old Flow Wall. I admit I must have something a little wrong with me. Day off = working with product? Let me explain. Life at Flow Wall gets all kinds of busy. Customers, inventory, product development, meetings, phone calls, emails, tweets, pins, Facebook, blogs, and well I think you get the point. I don’t get to jump out on job sites as much as I would like, or even really get to play around with the product as much anymore. So I saw my window and I took it. I Flow Wall’d my daughters play room with our new Flow Decor cubbies. Must say just like all Flow Wall products they were super easy to put together, and the over all look is great. My wife works the night shift at the hospital so the final reveal will be tomorrow when she gets home. Until then tell me, what do you think?

Recently we organized our warehouse space at CEVA using FLOW WALL® Panels, Shelves and Hard Storage Bins. Our problem was that we had a lot of customer service items getting lost in the shelves. Rather than give up shelf space, attached FLOW WALL to the end of the racks by bolting right into steel.

Here is the step by step on adding FLOW WALL® to your warehouse racking:

For this installation we used a 6pack of 8ft panels, some hard bins and older style shelves. We will probably replace these later with the new metal bracket shelves.

To complete this installation we used Crown Bolt #12-24 x 1 ½” Metal screw and bolts and ¼” flat washers we picked up from Home Depot. We also had a 3/8” metal drill bit to penetrate the racking where needed to keep our installation level. Note that the racking holes did not always line up.

We started with this pallet rack end, with two sets of 40in deep pallet racks connected two deep. Total width was exactly 96 in, perfect for the 8ft panels.

STEP 1: Hang the first panel using one of the existing holes. TO align the opposite side, we had to drill through the panel and through the rack. Where possible we stay in the slat, but sometime we went through the panel to align an existing pallet rack adjustment hole. See how we used the washers to keep our installation flush and panel snugly to the rack.

STEP 2: Grow your wall vertically – we went 5 panels high.

STEP 3: Add your accessories

STEP 4: Organize your wall

This installation took Jason and I less than 30 minutes and turned an empty rack end into clean, fluid and functional space. Organize with FLOW WALL®. We did and we love it.

To have a well-organized garage, it’s best to know what kind of garage storage organizer you are. Having wall panels line your wall storage gives you the advantage to custom-build your garage organization based on the dynamics of your home. If you have small children, utilize your garage storage on a daily or weekly basis, or if you have any kind of work station in your garage, bins might be your best garage storage solution.

Bins also slide in and out of your wall storage panels very easily, and they come in many sizes for your specific needs. It’s best to use bins within arms reach, for things that can easily be tossed into storage, which is why they are perfect for children who use the garage. The small bins are ideal for little pieces used at a work station, keeping it as organized as the rest of the garage.

Knowing what works best for you is the most important idea to keep in mind when organizing your garage. For many, bins are the garage storage solution they have been looking for.

Saturdays are precious, and the last thing most people want to do is spend it all in the garage. If your garage organization is in need of some attention, here are a few things that you can do under six hours in your garage to get your garage storage into shape.

Install wall panels. This can actually be done in under an hour. Wall storage is the most efficient and best of space for your garage storage, and wall panels are the easiest and most functional means to garage wall storage.

Cabinets. Again, this can probably be done in an hour as long as you have wall panels installed. Line your cabinets along your wall storage as it makes sense. It’s usually best to keep all your cabinets near each other for your own convenience.

Shelves. This easy job can be done in under an hour, and again, this is an essential piece to wall storage.

Load it up. Give yourself two to three hours for this one depending on the mass of garage storage you have accumulated. Begin filling your cabinets and shelves, and watch your garage organize before your eyes.

There are many other solutions to wall storage, these are just a few and probably the ones that will cost you the least amount of time, but buy you the most amount of garage organization

Ever wonder why so many garage organization projects fail? While we may never understand the true answer to garage organizational failure, we can take a few guesses. Here’s one theory boiled down in unscientific terms:

When most homeowners start to organize their garages, they realize that they have so much stuff and not enough space to store it in. Even if you’ve adopted minimalist, slash-and-burn tactics to throw everything way that you possibly can, you may realize that you still don’t have to space to keep everything you want.

Consider installing extra garage storage space. You don’t have to be a skilled carpenter, and you don’t have to pay a fortune. Garage cabinets, shelving, and storage bins are affordable and easier to install than you might think. But first, take into account all the extra space at your disposal for wall storage. Also, decide where you can install hooks, shelves, and cabinets.

If you’ve created a plan for organizing your garage, taken inventory of everything you own, and you’re still lost, go online and look at some of the garage organizational systems people have installed. A little inspiration and some ingenuity can go a long way when it comes to organizing your garage.

So you’ve decided to organize your garage. Keep in mind that you can substitute any other part of your home for “garage” here. We’ll just refer to “garage organization” for simplicity’s sake.

So you’ve rolled up your sleeves, visited flowwall.com and looked at our planning guide, and you’ve got all the motivation in the world. But all of the sudden you realized there’s a lot of stuff in there! You’ve probably got mountains of tools, boxes of hand-me-downs, half a dozen cabinets fool of who knows what, and a pile of bikes, toys, and lawn gear.

Don’t panic. Don’t hide under your bed.

One of the simplest ways to fight garage organizational fear is to take inventory (after you’ve taken several deep, relaxing breaths). Actually finding out what you have inside your garage is the best way to start organizing it. Find a pad of paper and write down how many bikes you own, how many power drills you have (and how many you need). You’re going to have to find storage solutions for everything cluttering your garage, and it’s best to know what you have in order to find out what you’re going to need.
