Creating the ultimate Home Office Environment with FLOW WALL

With FLOW WALL® – you can do far more than just organize your garage.  FLOW WALL® is the perfect wall storage solution for workspace and home office environments.

Here is a picture of our office with 114 in of FLOW WALL stacked 4 panels high. We used Maple Panels and Doors to create a complimentary match with IKEA Galant Desks in Beach. This set does not yet attached the desks to the wall, but we are planning to do that. A previous remodel in this room has natural bamboo wanes coating with a bamboo wall trip.

Above the desks we use two wall cabinets, four Décor Shelves in Maple and Two Décor Cubes. I think we are going to add some soft bins to finish the look in this space.

On the back wall behind above the sofa, we put up an 8ft strip with three Décor Cubes. Not sure how to finish, but will probaly use them for decorations and book shelves. In the open space, we hung a cork board using X – Hooks.

For an opposing wall in this workspace, we created a credenza using dual base cabinets and dual wall cabinets with some storage space underneath. To the right, we use DÉCOR shelves to organize binders, books, printer and a scanner.  On the opposing side, extended one panel to the wall and used a 4in Flow hook to hand a heavy backpack.

Finally – we created some trim around a paste on dry erase sticker board. This space is used for Pens, Magazine and storage, as well as hanging space for camera and tripod (not shown).

Lots of ideas for FLOW WALL. This is the 4th office I have done with this product and the results were outstanding. If you need additional information please contact me directly – Lenny@flowwall.com

Flow Wall in Kids Playroom

Tuesday, February 21st, 2012

I had monday off and had most of the day to spend time with the three loves of my life.  My wife, daughter, and my dog.  I know what you are thinking, this guys wife must read his blog.  The answer to that question is false.  I am a lucky guy that truly married up.  We are an active bunch and even though we got some fresh white stuff over the weekend, that didn’t stop us from hitting the park in full force.  However  after tossing the ball, swinging, and a good game of you can’t catch me, it was time for the nap.  I did what any guy would do, I let my mind wander over to good old Flow Wall.  I admit I must have something a little wrong with me.  Day off = working with product?  Let me explain.  Life at Flow Wall gets all kinds of busy.  Customers, inventory, product development, meetings, phone calls, emails, tweets, pins, Facebook, blogs, and well I think you get the point.  I don’t get to jump out on job sites as much as I would like, or even really get to play around with the product as much anymore.  So I saw my window and I took it.  I Flow Wall’d my daughters play room with our new Flow Decor cubbies.  Must say just like all Flow Wall products they were super easy to put together, and the over all look is great.  My wife works the night shift at the hospital so the final reveal will be tomorrow when she gets home.  Until then tell me, what do you think?

Creating Organized Space on Warehouse Racks with FLOW WALL®

Thursday, February 16th, 2012

Recently we organized our warehouse space at CEVA using FLOW WALL® Panels, Shelves and Hard Storage Bins. Our problem was that we had a lot of customer service items getting lost in the shelves. Rather than give up shelf space, attached FLOW WALL to the end of the racks by bolting right into steel.

Here is the step by step on adding FLOW WALL® to your warehouse racking:

For this installation we used a 6pack of 8ft panels, some hard bins and older style shelves. We will probably replace these later with the new metal bracket shelves.

To complete this installation we used Crown Bolt  #12-24 x 1 ½” Metal screw and bolts and ¼” flat washers we picked up from Home Depot. We also had a 3/8” metal drill bit to penetrate the racking where needed to keep our installation level. Note that the racking holes did not always line up.

We started with this pallet rack end, with two sets of 40in deep pallet racks connected two deep. Total width was exactly 96 in, perfect for the 8ft panels.

STEP 1: Hang the first panel using one of the existing holes. TO align the opposite side, we had to drill through the panel and through the rack. Where possible we stay in the slat, but sometime we went through the panel to align an existing pallet rack adjustment hole. See how we used the washers to keep our installation flush and panel snugly to the rack.

STEP 2: Grow your wall vertically – we went 5 panels high.

STEP 3: Add your accessories

STEP 4: Organize your wall

This installation took Jason and I less than 30 minutes and turned an empty rack end into clean, fluid and functional space. Organize with FLOW WALL®. We did and we love it.

Awesome Gararge

Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012

This is one of the latest installs from one of our great customers!  Check out what he had to say.

“Both my wife and I are very happy with the final product, both appearance and utility. I was happy with the way it went together as well. FYI, I did all the work myself. I’m sure it would be easier for two, but I’m proof that one person can do it alone. By the way, I’ve had little experience in such things and don’t even own power tools. I had to buy most of the tools I used for this project, including a drill, stud finder, and oscillating saw. The instructional videos on your website were incredibly helpful and helped me avoid some certain pitfalls. ”  Mike
